How do I book with Holidays-Mauritius.com?
After you've had a look at our amazing resorts, please use the request form to see the exact price and whether we still have a suitable unit available. This is completely automated and you get an instant result. If necessary, click on the "expand" buttons to see further details.
Then, click on the "book/inquire now" button to get to our booking form. Here you can also enter any questions or special wishes you may have. After you've submitted the form, we will contact you via email and answer your questions, confirm the availability etc.
When you are ready to make a binding booking, please indicate that to us at any point via email, phone or choose the corresponding option in our booking form. We will then send you an invoice and ask you to pay a deposit. Provided that you pay the deposit in time, you have a firm booking.
What are the payment terms?
A deposit of at least 30 % of the total amount is due 7 days after the receipt of the invoice. The remaining amount of your booked trip is due 14 days prior to your arrival in Mauritius.
One of our payment options is to pay via bank transfer in Euro to our bank account in Germany. If you live in one of the SEPA countries, this bank transfer can be done free of bank charges by using our IBAN/SWIFT code. Make sure you do a "SEPA transfer" to avoid the bank charges.
You can also pay by credit card. We accept Visa and Mastercard and payments can be done in Australian Dollar, Swiss Franc, Euro, Pound Sterling, Mauritian Rupee, US Dollar or South African Rand.
Another option is to pay via PayPal which may in turn supports a bunch of other payment options depending on your country (including credit cards). PayPal payments must be done in Euro.
What are the cancellation terms?
The cancellation terms depend on the accomodation you book for your stay since they are dictated by the respective owners. For each resort you can find a letter indicating the applicable cancellation terms. This letter is located at the end of the "Quick Overview" section (left) on each resort's description page. Click on the letter and you will be taken to the corresponding section of our terms.
Do we have to pay full price for our child/baby? Can you provide a baby cot?
The price for a child depends on the age at the time of arrival. Just enter the age of your child (0-17) in the corresponding field of the request form. If you're travelling with multiple children, separate their ages with a comma. The quoted prices will then automatically include the charge – if any – for your children. The age of your children will also be taken into account whether a give unit can fit your whole group.
All resorts offer baby cots if you indicate that prior to your arrival. The "special wishes" field in our booking form is the perfect place to do that.
Should I book my flights or my accomodation first?
It's generally a good idea to book your flights and wait for your (E-)tickets and then to book your accomodation.
If you want to make sure that nobody books your dream apartment while you're busy searching for flights, we can put a free 48h option on most of our objects. Just go through our booking process and make sure to enter in the "special wishes" section that you'd like us to put an option so that you can book your flights. We will process your request during business ours and confirm the option to you via email.
What is the best time of the year to visit Mauritius?
Mauritius attracts tourist throughout the whole year. Peak season is around Christmas and New Year. The best deals for accomodation, car rental etc. can be made in low season from May through October. Interestingly, some hotels also offer lower rates for the first half of December, just before Mauritius is swamped with tourists over Christmas. If you can avoid it, February is the month with the most rain and highest potential for cyclones.

Will we have sea view?
Typically, all units in our resorts have sea view. You can verify if that is true by looking at the "Quick Overview" section (left) on each resort's description page where it should either say "All units with sea view" or something else.
Are cleaning services included?
Yes, typically the rooms are cleaned daily. Sundays and public holidays might be exempt for some resorts. You can check this by looking in the "Amenities" section on each resort's description page. There is says "Cleaning x times per week".
Are beach towels and linen provided?
Yes, typically these are provided. You can verify this by looking in the "Amenities" section on each resort's description page.
Can you recommend some restaurants/shops nearby?
Our staff is pretty knowledgable about Mauritius, so please feel free to ask them any specific question.
